About Medicolegal Review/Editing

What do your IMEs, QMEs, AMES, Consults/Analysis say about you? Are they complete, consistent, accurate, grammatically correct and suitable for the intended audience of legal, judicial, and clinical readers?

Your credibility as an expert witness (and as a healthcare professional) depends, largely, on the quality of your written report.

To be helpful to the Court or Workers Comp Board, expert witness reports should:

  • present the history in a logical flow
  • present foundations for opinions in a persuasive and systematic manner
  • explain complex medical and technical concepts in understandable terms
  • be clearly worded
  • be accurate in facts and details
  • be consistent in style and mechanics
  • be free of typos, and
  • be well formatted
